Kris defends and advises governments, businesses, and their employees in tort, employment and civil rights matters. Kris also does employment investigations and regularly serves as a private mediator.
Kris graduated from the UW Law School in 1990. He then went to work in the Civil Division of the King County Prosecutor’s Office. While his practice there was varied, he ultimately focused on tort and civil rights. His practice involved significant trial and appellate work, arbitrations, mediations, and client advising.
In 2012, after almost 22 years at the Prosecutor’s Office, Kris went into private practice. He is currently a law partner with his wife, Elena. Kris currently represents local governments, public entity risk pools, and businesses. He regularly serves as an employment investigator and mediator.
Kris is licensed to practice in Washington, the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington, and the Ninth Circuit of Appeals.
Elena is a partner with Bundy Law Group, PLLC, and has been representing employers, including many local governments, for over a decade.
Employment Litigation
Elena defends employers in all facets of employment litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, including claims of wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, failure to accommodate, and wage and hour class actions. Elena's clients include a variety of industries as well as not-for-profit organizations and public sector employers, including school districts and municipal governments.
General Litigation
Elena also defends businesses and local governments in general litigation in state and federal courts, including tort and civil rights claims.
Employment Advising, Policy Drafting, and Trainings
Elena provides clear and practical advice aimed at preventing litigation, including advice on responding to complaints, discipline and discharge, wage and hour, leave and accommodation, and creating workplace policies and procedures. Elena also enjoys and regularly conducts workplace trainings on a wide variety of topics such as wage and hour requirements and harassment.

Elena efficiently conducts sensitive workplace investigations, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
